- Interact with a range of EPFL stakeholders to understand their business needs and propose new functionalities exploiting EPFL Graph to solve selected business problems
- Adopt a user-centered prototyping approach to code and test various Proofs-of-Concept to evaluate possible solutions
- Communicate results to stakeholders, to further integrate business requirements and constraints
- Contribute to the prioritization of development tasks related to production-level interfaces and tools operating on top of the EPFL Graph
- Master degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in Python programming in a UNIX environment
- Experience in querying, processing, and visualizing data (both structured and unstructured)
- Strong prototyping skills, and ability to test and iterate fast
- A strong culture of service and support
- Ability to present results to different audiences
- Open nature, adept at communicating effectively, and willing to interact with all levels in the EPFL hierarchy. At ease in editorial and writing work, comfortable working with unknowns.

Your mission :
One of the important objectives of the digitalization program of the EPFL Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs (VPA) is to integrate the semantic concepts and mappings provided by EPFL Graph into interactive and visual reporting tools, in particular to inform decision-making.
EPFL Graph is a data processing and analytics pipeline that leverages machine learning and graph processing algorithms to consolidate, interconnect and unify data, in order to provide fast content search, knowledge mapping and recommendations to the EPFL community.

In this framework, the VPA is looking for a skilled Python developer to work at the intersection between data analysis, data visualization and analytical/exploratory data science, to expand the functionalities built on top of EPFL Graph.
